What I collect, and why

Three kinds of thing, and nothing else.

Birth data. Your date, time and place of birth, because a chart cannot be cast without them. For a Sacred Earth reading involving more than one person, the same three things for everyone whose chart is in the room, and only ever with their agreement. I use this to prepare and deliver your reading. I do not sell it, share it, or use it for anything else.

Your email address, if you join the newsletter or download the astrocartography guide. Used to send you what you asked for. There is an unsubscribe link on every email and it works.

Whatever you tell me in an intake form or an email. Used to do the work you booked.

Who else touches it

This site runs on a small number of services, and each one holds a specific piece. Their own privacy policies apply to what they hold.

• Netlify hosts the site and sees standard server logs.
• Flodesk holds the newsletter list and sends the emails.
• TidyCal handles booking and scheduling.
• ThriveCart handles checkout and hosts the course portals. Card details go to ThriveCart and its payment processor. I never see them.
• Google Meet hosts live sessions and produces the recording you keep.
• Substack hosts my publication at michellesaya.substack.com. It is a separate service with its own account and its own subscriber list, so subscribing there is covered by Substack's privacy policy rather than by this page.

Recordings

Live sessions are recorded so you can keep the recording. It is yours. I hold a copy so I can re-send it if you lose it, and I will delete my copy on request. I do not use session recordings for marketing, teaching examples, or anything public.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It uses one small piece of browser storage to remember that you have already seen the opening animation, so it does not play again on every page.

Keeping and deleting

I keep booking and purchase records for as long as tax rules require. Everything else I keep while it is useful to you, and delete when you ask. Email hello@michellesaya.com and ask for a copy of what I hold, a correction, or deletion. I answer in 48 to 72 hours on business days.

Children

This is not a service for under 18s.

Who you are dealing with

California

My business is based in California and I work remotely. Most of the people I read for are somewhere else again, so here is where you stand wherever you are.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is no agreed standard for what a site should do with one, and this site does not respond to it, because it does not follow you across other sites in the first place.

Third party tracking. No third party collects information about what you do on other websites through this one. There is no ad network here, no retargeting pixel, and no analytics that follow you after you leave.

Selling and sharing. I do not sell your personal information and I do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. I never have. That is why there is no "Do Not Sell or Share" link on this site: there is nothing to opt out of.

Direct marketing. California's Shine the Light law lets you ask whether a business has passed your details to third parties for those parties' own marketing. I have not and I do not.

Making a request. Ask me for a copy of what I hold, a correction, or deletion, at hello@michellesaya.com. I answer in 48 to 72 hours on business days. It costs nothing and I will not treat you any differently for asking.

Changes to this page. If I change something here, I update the date at the top. If the change affects how I handle information you have already given me, I will email you rather than leave you to find it.
