First, Personal Life Update:

I’m finally able to sit still enough to write after being here in Bangkok for the past 7 weeks. If you haven’t been in the loop, I uprooted my whole life in California and moved my husband and 2 cats to Thailand sight unseen.

Soooooo, how do I even begin to describe Bangkok?

This place runs on a chaotic flow state that makes me feel super alive. I feel both vulnerable and ecstatic here. This city’s electric energy charges up my curiosity like a kid again. The humidity is a bigger shock to my system than the culture.

I’ve fallen into funny habits like eating congee with a thousand year old egg for breakfast and training my taste buds to handle spicy but ohh so delicious pad krapow and papaya salads at night. The massages are top tier in a way that makes you question how you’re still alive after being bent like a pretzel 🥨 with tiger balm rubbed into your shoulder knots.

I’ve barely scratched the surface here. It’s impossible to receive Bangkok fully in such a short period of time. I’m excited for how this city will reveal itself to me and its many layers for years to come.

Since making this radical life change, I noticed my internal noise got quieter. But fully gone. But the volume has been dialed down where my nervous system isn’t running on high speed anymore. Which is ironic, being that i’m in the big city now.

As a gemini rising, this is a BIG deal. I stopped making myself available to everyone’s opinions/noises in my personal life, on social media, and became more daring in following the beat of my own drum in real life.

With that said, it’s impossible to ignore that since Uranus ingressed into Gemini and Saturn/Neptune began new cycles in Aries, the collective energy HAS been growing increasingly frenetic. During one of my meditations when I asked how the world is doing, I picture a playground at recess where every kid is simultaneously on a sugar high, hangry, and all running in different directions.

Nobody watches where they’re going. Everyone bumps into each other and cries about it. That’s energy of the collective, the world, reflected back on social media right now. The collective nervous system is going through it’s own tower moment and reset right now. So no surprise that’s messy. Quick to react. Yet simultaneously so so soo confusing.

How do you listen to the sound of your own voice, internal gps system, intuition when the external voices are constant?

That’s the question I’ve been sitting with since late 2024. And it’s the exact question this Sagittarius Full Moon is designed to surface.

What the sky has been tracking in my life for 18 months

Around late November 2024, the presidential election results had just come in. I was stunned. Staring at the screen until I checked out. Then a ball of energy started emanating from my gut. My higher self then nudged me that something in my life had to fundamentally change. I had no plan, no destination, just a restless pull that I couldn’t logic my way out of. That was the Sagittarius New Moon at 9 degrees. At the time I didn’t fully register what was being seeded. All I knew was something in my life will change massively, but I’ll need to have the courage to act on it first before the rest follows.

December 2025, another Sagittarius New Moon. By then I had a destination in mind. Bangkok, Thailand. I was deep in paperwork, visa applications, and financials. The decision was more concrete a year later.  I liken the visual to my arrow finally leaving the bow.

Now May 31st, 2026 is arriving in just a few short days with the Sagittarius Full Moon hitting its peak at 9 degrees, mirroring it’s initial degree cycle from 2024.

Eighteen months ago I was on my couch in California having an existential epiphany. Now I’m in Southeast Asia living out my response to it, at the exact same degree of sky where the whole thing started.

I find astrology to consistently be a powerful mirror to acknowledge the changes to my internal state and evolution. It reflected back beautifully the timing to trust what I already knew within myself this whole time.

May 31st, 2026, at 1:45 am PT: Full Moon (9°55 Sagittarius)

This is a blue moon, the second full moon of this month, which is rare. And it lands in Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion, abundance, and seeing the bigger picture (& not getting lost in the overwhelm of the collective sauce!).

The archer aims at the horizon. The energy here is inherently directional, helping you to decide where you’re pointing your next adventure/direction towards in life.

What makes this lunation technically significant is the conjunction with Antares, the heart of the Scorpion 🦂, which is considered one of the four royal stars of ancient Persian astrology and one of the most powerful fixed stars in the sky.

Antares sits at 9°47′ Sagittarius, which places it right on top of this full moon. In traditional astrology Antares carries a combined Mars-Jupiter signature: Mars’s heat, drive, and unflinching directness fused with Jupiter’s capacity for meaning and expansion. The quality that produces is a form of specific courage that moves anyway, in full awareness of the risks associated with it.

Antares historically rewards full commitment and is unkind to those who stall at the threshold. It’s a star that does not respect half measures.

Conjunct this full moon it’s pushing whatever has been sitting just beneath the surface into direct resolution. There’s no more sitting with it. The truth is asking to be faced once and for all.

The Sun is also co-present with Uranus, Ceres & Mercury in Gemini in its archetypal opposition to the moon who has black moon lilith (who hates being stifled by societal constraints) on its Sagittarian team. This is the tension axis of the chart: Gemini rules information, data, what you think you know, the stories you’ve been telling yourself about your daily reality, taking into account the advice of other people.

Sagittarius rules belief, faith, the framework through which you make meaning of your entire life, the wisdom & luck you make for yourself from your own lived experience rather than being told what to feel, believe, think or do.

These opposing sides means something you’ve accepted as true is about to be disrupted if it hasn’t already on an internal level. There could also be a conversation, a realization, a message that reframes everything. Regardless of what your epiphany is during this time, this full moon breaks the self-imposed cages open.

So I leave you with two questions that honors this Gemini/Sagittarius axis lunation:

  • What story have you been calling “the truth” that’s actually just become comfortable?
  • Which version of you is making your decisions right now: the one you’re becoming, or the one you’re afraid to leave behind?

Side Note on Why I’m in Bangkok Specifically:

I didn’t choose Thailand randomly.

I looked at my astrocartography map and followed my Jupiter MC line, which in astrocartography represents where Jupiter sits at the top of your chart, the point governing career, public life, and legacy.

Bangkok also gave me some distance from a particularly heavy Chiron/Saturn/Pluto cluster that had been active in my previous location which I’ll do a full writeup on soon. ✍🏻

I moved toward expansion and away from prolonged contraction, using my chart as the map.

In this season of my life as an astrologer, this is the work I feel most called to explore deeply with others. What lights me up right now is helping people understand the geography of their own potential timelines, where on this planet their life is designed to open up.
