New Moon at 28°11’ Scorpio 🌑 Nov 19th, 2025, at 10:47 pm PT

Every year when this Scorpionic new moon rolls around, there is always a level of shedding required from whatever mental, emotional, or situational baggage has been clogging the doorway into a new beginning.

This week’s upcoming scorpio new moon occurring Nov 19th at 10:47 pm pst feels particularly more weighty than usual, darker, more consequential than previous cycles. There is a sense that the stakes have quietly risen. That whatever you choose or refuse to choose now will ripple farther than it normally would.

Part of this weight comes from the outer planets undergoing major rebirth cycles. Uranus retrograde is making its final trek through Taurus before it reenters Gemini for good on April 26th 2026. This shift will kick off an eight year collective cycle centered around the mind: what we consume, what we share, how ideas spread, and how information becomes either a tool for unity or a weapon for fragmentation.

Between last year’s Scorpio new moon and this year’s, Pluto also shifted signs. A full generational handoff from Capricorn to Aquarius.

Saturn and Neptune are also making it’s retrograde trek back to existential Pisces before shooting us back out of the womb again with brand new identities, new beliefs, and a new frequency of selfhood that many of us are only now beginning to understand at a beginner’s level. They will be making an exact conjunction at 0°Aries on February 20th. The last time we had these two planets conjunct was back in 1989, 36 years ago.

Your desires, ambitions, dreams carries more consequential weight when these two sit side by side. Neptune is the airy visionary ideas co-founder that has a new idea every 10 minutes. Saturn is the sober partner asking the questions that make the dream real. How will this function. Who will it serve. What resources will this require. Both planets are in the stage of examining the collective landscape and deciding what needs to be built for the next era.

If we imagine Saturn and Neptune as co-founders in a visionary company still in the early stages of building…they will look at the markets. The state of the world. The needs of the collective. Especially if they want to build a company whose ethos is not out of touch with the people they’re trying to serve.

They will then look at Pluto, and Uranus. Both of these outer planets are not in the building phase right now. They are in the wrecking phase right now. Especially as Uranus is opposing this upcoming New Moon. You may also have massive emotional epiphanies happening around this time that may change your course of direction suddenly. I would stay open and being willing to adapt if this happens this week for you.

When so much destabilization is happening at the global level, building anything visionary requires developing the capacity to remain centered in the eye of the storm. It means co creating with chaos. It means understanding that we are living through multiple timelines and that not all of them will survive.

Only one will eventually become the dominant storyline of the world. This is a birth canal period, and birth canals are never peaceful.

So how you manage your day to day thoughts, emotions and actions will all play a role here. From both a micro personal scale, and rippling out to the world at large.

Luna Astrology – New Moon in Scorpio  🌑 Nov 19th, 2025, at 10:47 pm PT

This is where this New Moon in Scorpio comes in. And it will be helped by a grand water trine between the Sun in Scorpio, Jupiter in Cancer (in Retrograde right now), and Saturn in Pisces. This offers emotional containment, spiritual clarity, and a feeling of being held by something larger than your personal will which is deeply needed right now. It will help make the pieces click for you on an emotional level even if it feels like an internal eruption for you. I would make note of what arises this week, and wait till Mercury stations direct to take external action.

A couple hours after this New Moon’s peak, Mercury will meet the Sun, forming a cazimi during it’s retrograde. This is Mercury’s underworld moment, the midpoint of the retrograde when the mind is purified, emptied, and reoriented toward what comes next. When the Moon and Mercury are both meeting the Sun at the same degree, something inside you is rebooting. Old mental habits burn off. Assumptions lose their power. You stop thinking in circles and start recognizing what you have been trying not to know. This can show up as needing to withdraw briefly. A day or two offline. Less noise. More space to listen for the signal in the static.

Because this New Moon takes place in Scorpio, Mars is its ruler. And Mars is currently in Sagittarius, which gives this lunation its appetite for motion. Mars in Sagittarius acts like a wild horse that threads through next year’s Chinese zodiac as well. We are moving into a Horse year in Chinese astrology, which mirrors the same archetype: instinct, motion, liberation. We are entering a collective period where people will no longer tolerate being corralled by structures that feel restrictive or dishonest. Even those who have been compliant until now will feel the pressure to seek their own definition of freedom.

So with Mercury, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus all in slow down retrograde cycles right now, Mars is feeling restless this month, frustrated by this phase of slow down. The energy is backed up. The momentum is building but not yet released. Many people feel like they are in a holding pattern, waiting for the signal, sensing that something big is coming but not yet visible.

This New Moon in Scorpio will have us confront any habits, situations that are self-sabotaging that we’re still planning on bringing into the new chapter. Hence the pause. You need to clean this up before you can move forward with your plans.

There is a cost to dragging old debris into a new cycle, especially when we are about to enter a year ruled by the Horse, where movement is natural but only when you drop the weight that slows the gallop. The wild horse archetype does not run because it is reckless. It runs because it understands instinctively that freedom requires responsiveness, agility, and a willingness to leave behind anything that dulls its speed or clarity.

Ways To Set Intentions With This Moon

  • Identify the one pattern you absolutely cannot bring into next year. It can be a pattern that has cost you the most energy this past year that isn’t helpful.
  • Review your life from November 2024 to November 2025 and write out what began, what transformed, what collapsed, what you learned, and what you refuse to repeat in the next cycle.
  • Identify where Uranus is pushing you toward freedom by noticing the places where you feel restless, irritated, or boxed in, and acknowledge the part of your life that feels too small.
  • Honor the wild horse energy rising for 2025 by choosing one symbolic action that affirms your personal freedom, whether that is shifting a routine, taking a spontaneous outing, signing up for something that stretches you, or ending a commitment that drains your life force. Act on it once Mercury stations direct on the 29th.

Aries Rising

→ 8th House: Shared resources, transformation, and deep bonds

This new moon drops directly into your eighth house, the part of your chart that deals with what you cannot control, what you share, what you fear losing, and what you inherit emotionally or energetically from other people. It brings you face to face with the parts of your life where you have been negotiating with yourself about limits, boundaries, and personal power. Something in this house is ready to be released or transformed, and the new moon will make it very clear what that is.

With Uranus opposing this lunation from your second house, there is a shake up happening around stability, income, or self worth. You may feel sudden clarity about what you are no longer willing to tolerate in financial exchanges, emotional entanglements, or relational dynamics that drain your energy. Something about how you support yourself is ready to evolve, and you may be surprised by how quickly your instincts shift. The old system no longer fits, and your body knows it before your mind can explain it.

Mars, your chart ruler, is in Sagittarius, pulling you toward a new horizon. There is a part of you that wants to run toward freedom, expansion, and a life that feels more aligned with your real values. Mars is impatient with anything that feels like a psychological tether, and this tension may bring a powerful desire to cut cords, renegotiate commitments, or redefine the terms of intimacy and resource sharing. You are beginning a new chapter in how you give and receive, and this new moon sets that recalibration in motion.

Taurus Rising

→ 7th House: Partnerships, relationships, and collaborations

This new moon lands in your seventh house, illuminating the arena of relationships, agreements, and the emotional contracts you hold with others. Scorpio here brings intensity, truth telling, and a willingness to finally address what has been brewing beneath the surface. You may be confronted with the real state of a partnership or a pattern that repeats itself in your relationships. The new moon pulls what has been unconscious into the light so you can see it plainly and decide what to do with it.

Uranus sits directly in your first house, opposing this lunation, which means you are changing faster than the people around you can adjust to. There is a version of yourself that you have outgrown, and any relationship built on an older version of you will feel pressure to evolve or recalibrate. This can create tension, impulsive insights, or sudden realizations that you cannot keep performing a role that no longer fits. Your identity is in motion, and the dynamics you hold with others must shift in response.

Mars in Sagittarius activates your eighth house, adding urgency to the emotional and energetic exchanges happening behind the scenes. This influence can stir up questions around trust, vulnerability, and reciprocity. You may feel pulled to confront the deeper motivations behind your attachments or to examine where you are giving too much without receiving enough in return. There is passion here, but also a need to be honest about what feels imbalanced or unsustainable.

Gemini Rising

→ 6th House: Health, daily routines, and work environment

This new moon activates your sixth house, the part of your chart that governs your daily rhythms, your health, your workload, and the habits that quietly shape your life behind the scenes. Scorpio’s influence here reveals the truth about what is draining you, what is disorganized, and what has been operating on autopilot without your conscious permission. This is a reset of your systems. Something in your daily structure needs to be purified, simplified, or restructured so your energy can return to you.

With Uranus moving through your twelfth house and opposing this new moon, hidden stressors and unconscious patterns may suddenly break through the surface. You may experience a powerful realization about how your internal world is affecting your external functioning. This can show up through restlessness, sleep disturbances, emotional overwhelm, or a sudden urge to free yourself from an old coping mechanism. Uranus is loosening the grip of an outdated way of handling stress, and while it may feel disruptive, it is ultimately liberating.

Mercury’s cazimi in your sixth house helps you understand what your body has been trying to communicate. This is a moment of clarity around health, burnout, productivity, or the ways you have been overextending yourself. You may recognize the exact habit that keeps derailing your energy or the exact task that needs to be delegated. The cazimi cuts through confusion and gives you a sharper understanding of what you need in order to function at your best. This is also a time when breakthroughs in planning or organization happen naturally.

Cancer Rising

→ 5th House: Creativity, romance, and children

This new moon ignites your fifth house, the part of your chart tied to desire, creativity, joy, romance, pleasure, self expression, and the parts of you that want to feel fully alive. Scorpio in the fifth house is never lighthearted. It asks you to look at what you truly want, not what you have settled for. It exposes where your creativity has been stifled, where your joy has been rationed, and where you have been performing instead of expressing. This new moon invites you to reclaim the parts of you that have been dimmed by responsibility or fear.

With Uranus moving through your eleventh house and opposing this new moon, there is a disruption happening in your social sphere, your communities, your long term dreams, or the expectations of others. Something in the collective space around you is shifting, and it may jolt you into remembering what your heart actually wants. You may feel pulled away from group dynamics that dilute your authenticity, or you may experience a sudden insight about a creative dream or project you abandoned to fit in. Uranus is shaking loose the influence of people or environments that have unconsciously shaped your choices.

Mercury’s cazimi in your fifth house brings a moment of clarity around what brings you joy and what deadens your spirit. A breakthrough may arrive around a creative idea, a romantic truth, or a desire you have pushed aside because it felt impractical or indulgent. This cazimi cuts through confusion and helps you articulate what you are ready to create or pursue. You may finally understand why certain pleasures felt blocked, or why you kept prioritizing other people’s needs over your own vitality. Mars in Sagittarius activates your sixth house, which creates a clear link between your wellbeing and your creativity. If your daily life has become too rigid or draining, Mars will stir frustration or restlessness until you acknowledge it. Your body may be signaling that something needs to shift before your creative or romantic life can thrive. You may need to reorganize your routines, set firmer boundaries, or release commitments that leave no space for your own passions.

Leo Rising

→ 4th House: Home, family, and personal foundations

This new moon activates your fourth house, the deepest part of your chart. This is the territory of home, family, ancestry, emotional safety, and the private self you rarely show. Scorpio here brings intensity and truth telling to the foundations you stand on. It exposes what has felt unsettled beneath the surface. It reveals the patterns you absorbed from family, the emotional legacies you inherited, and the structures that no longer feel like home. This new moon asks you to take an honest look at what your inner life actually needs in order to feel stable, grounded, and nourished.

With Uranus moving through your tenth house and opposing the new moon, there is a crack opening between your public identity and your private reality. Something in your outer life is shifting, whether it is your career, reputation, or long term direction, and that external shift is pressuring your inner world to evolve. You may feel a sudden desire to restructure your living environment, reorient your work life, relocate, or redefine what safety means. Uranus wants liberation, and it will highlight every place where old family conditioning or emotional habits have kept you small. Change in your public life is calling you to update the foundation you return to.

Mercury’s cazimi in your fourth house offers a moment of clarity around your emotional roots. A realization may surface about your patterns in attachment, your relationship with your family of origin, or the unspoken stories you have been carrying. You may suddenly understand the connection between an old wound and a current challenge. The cazimi helps you articulate something you have felt but could not previously put into words. This may also be a moment when conversations with family, a partner, or yourself reach a point of honesty that shifts the dynamic entirely.

Virgo Rising

→ 3rd House: Communication, local community, and siblings

This new moon activates your third house, the part of your chart tied to your mind, your voice, your communication patterns, your immediate environment, and the daily exchanges that shape your perception of reality. Scorpio here brings depth to the way you think and speak. It peels back the surface layer of your thoughts and asks you to look at the narratives that have been running in the background. This new moon exposes the mental habits that limit your expression, the fears that silence you, and the assumptions you treat as facts. It is a reset of your perception, your language, and your internal dialogue.

With Uranus moving through your ninth house and opposing this new moon, your worldview is under renovation. A belief you once leaned on may suddenly crack. A perspective you inherited or assumed may no longer feel true. You may experience a flash of insight that destabilizes an old paradigm and pushes you to think bigger and more honestly than before. Uranus is pressuring you to break free from outdated frameworks, whether they are religious, cultural, philosophical, or simply habitual. Anything that restricts your intellectual freedom will feel too small now.

Mercury’s cazimi in your third house brings a moment of piercing mental clarity. A connection may click. A thought lands with calibration instead of confusion. You may understand why you communicate the way you do, or why certain conversations always trigger the same emotional response. This cazimi helps you identify the exact mental pattern that needs to be released. It also strengthens your voice, helping you articulate something that previously felt tangled or inaccessible. This is a moment where your inner and outer communication begin to sync. Mars in Sagittarius lights up your fourth house, stirring the emotional roots beneath these mental shifts. There is restlessness in your private life that is influencing the way you think and speak. Old family dynamics, ancestral patterns, or emotional memories may resurface, showing you how deeply your mind has been shaped by your early environment.

Libra Rising

→ 2nd House: Personal finances, values, and possessions

This new moon lands in your second house, the part of your chart that deals with self worth, money, income, personal resources, and the way you value yourself at the most fundamental level. Scorpio here exposes the emotional undercurrents beneath your relationship with stability and receiving. It reveals where scarcity thinking has been running the show, where you have been undercharging or overgiving, and where your sense of worth has been tied to survival rather than truth. This new moon asks you to reassess what you believe you deserve and to release financial patterns rooted in fear, guilt, or self minimization.

With Uranus moving through your eighth house and opposing this lunation, there is unpredictability or revelation occurring around shared resources, intimacy, debts, inheritances, or energetic entanglements. Something in your relational or financial world is shifting, and that instability is forcing you to examine how you support yourself. You may have a breakthrough around dependency, power dynamics, or the psychological contracts you enter into when you rely on others. Uranus demands autonomy, and it will highlight the exact places where your worth has been entangled with someone else’s approval or resources.

Mercury’s cazimi in your second house delivers a moment of clarity about your money patterns and your deeper relationship to deservingness. You may realize where you have been shrinking, where you have been avoiding difficult conversations, or where you have been trying to earn your worth through performance. The cazimi helps you articulate what you need without self censorship. It also brings insight into how your mindset around earning has been shaped by old experiences or inherited beliefs. Mars in Sagittarius activates your third house, igniting your voice and your communication style. You may feel more assertive about stating your needs, asking for what you are worth, or renegotiating agreements. If you have been quiet about your needs or passive in financial conversations, Mars will push that silence to its breaking point. This influence also highlights the link between your self worth and the way you speak about yourself. Any habit of downplaying your value or talking yourself out of opportunities will feel impossible to ignore now.

Scorpio Rising

→ 1st House: Self, identity, and personal beginnings

This new moon lands in your first house, which means it is happening in your identity, your body, your path, your instincts, and your most personal becoming. When a new moon takes place in your sign, it resets the internal compass. This New Moon strips away the versions of yourself you have outgrown, the survival strategies you no longer need, and the self images that were built from old wounds rather than truth. This is a rebirth at the level of identity. Something in your core is being rewritten. With Uranus moving through your seventh house and opposing this lunation, relationships become the mirror through which your transformation reflects back to you. Someone in your life may behave unpredictably. A dynamic may suddenly shift. Plans may change without warning. Uranus is showing you exactly where relational structures and expectations have limited your freedom to evolve. If a relationship has been keeping you in an older version of yourself, the tension becomes impossible to ignore. If a connection is meant to grow with you, it will adapt to who you are becoming.

Mercury’s cazimi in your first house brings a breakthrough in self understanding too. You may receive a download about who you are now, not who you were even a few months ago. A truth about your identity may click in a way that feels undeniable. You may see clearly the patterns that shaped your behavior and the beliefs that kept you in old roles. This cazimi clarifies your voice, your path, and your intentions. It helps you articulate the changes you have been feeling internally but have not yet verbalized. This is the moment when your inner transformation becomes more conscious to you as well for you to act upon.

Mars in Sagittarius also activates your second house, stirring the connection between your identity and your self worth. As you shed old versions of yourself, you may simultaneously confront the ways you undervalued your gifts, undercharged for your work, or downplayed your desires. Mars pushes you to claim your value without apology. It may also reveal financial or energetic leaks that stem from an outdated self concept. As you rebirth your identity, you must also update the way you treat your resources, your energy, and your sense of deserving.

Sagittarius Rising

→ 12th House: Spirituality, solitude, and subconscious patterns

This new moon moves through your twelfth house, the hidden room of your chart. This is the territory of your subconscious, your intuition, your dreams, your blind spots, your past life residue, and the parts of yourself that operate behind your conscious awareness. This new moon will pull you inward, inviting you to confront what has been unprocessed, unspoken, or emotionally tucked away. This new moon asks for internal honesty. It asks you to see what you have been avoiding, especially on a repressed emotional level.

With Uranus traveling through your sixth house and opposing this new moon, your body and your daily routines become the translators for what your subconscious has been trying to say. Sudden disruptions in sleep, energy, health patterns, work rhythms, or stress tolerance may arise as signals rather than problems. Uranus is destabilizing your habits so you can see where they have been masking deeper emotional truths. Something about your everyday functioning must shift because something in your inner world has already shifted. Your nervous system is craving a new way of living.

Mercury’s cazimi in your twelfth house illuminates a pattern that has been difficult to see because it was happening underneath your conscious thought. You may suddenly understand the root of a fear, a recurring dream theme, a self sabotaging impulse, or a cycle you keep repeating without meaning to. This cazimi gives you language for something you could not name before. You may feel drawn to journaling, solitude, dream interpretation, or quiet reflection, because that is where the clarity lands most easily. Mars in Sagittarius also activates your first house, which creates a powerful contrast. Part of you feels ready to move, act, leap forward, and break free. Your instincts are loud. Your desire to claim more space is building. But Mars also brings agitation when your inner world feels crowded or unresolved. The push to start something new will feel blocked until you clear out what your subconscious is holding.

Capricorn Rising

→ 11th House: Friendships, groups, and long-term goals

This new moon activates your eleventh house, the part of your chart tied to community, friendships, networks, long term goals, and the future you imagine for yourself. Scorpio here brings depth and truth to the people you surround yourself with and the dreams you are willing to claim. It asks you to look honestly at which connections nourish you and which ones drain you. It reveals the hidden dynamics in your social world, the unspoken expectations in your friendships, and the goals that no longer feel aligned. This new moon pushes you to clarify who you walk with and why. With Uranus moving through your fifth house and opposing the new moon, your creativity and self expression are undergoing a disruptive awakening. Your inner child, your joy, your desire to create something meaningful is breaking out of old constraints. This can suddenly change the kinds of people and spaces you want to be around. If your social environment has been stifling your originality or authenticity, you will feel it strongly now. Uranus is shaking loose the groups, communities, or long term paths that no longer resonate with who you are becoming.

Mercury’s cazimi in your eleventh house brings clarity around the future you actually want to build. You may understand why certain long term goals felt heavy, or why you stayed in communities that were more about obligation than alignment. You may receive a sudden insight about a dream you abandoned or a vision that is ready to return. The cazimi helps you articulate the direction you want to move toward, and it may highlight a conversation or connection that becomes pivotal in your next chapter. Your mind is recalibrating what possibility feels like for next year even if the road ahead feels super uncertain.

Mars in Sagittarius activates your twelfth house, stirring the deeper emotional layers of this shift. You may feel a hidden urgency to release old attachments, expectations, or social obligations that no longer fit. Mars here can feel like restlessness that has no obvious outlet. It pushes you to confront what you have been avoiding beneath the surface, especially fears around belonging, visibility, or outgrowing your current circles. This is the tension that precedes liberation. Your soul is clearing space before new connections arrive.

Aquarius Rising

→ 10th House: Career, public image, and ambitions

This new moon activates your tenth house, the part of your chart tied to career, visibility, reputation, public identity, and the role you play in the world. Scorpio here does not let you coast. It brings intensity, accountability, and truth to the choices you make about your direction. This is a moment that exposes where you have been outgrowing your current path, where you have been performing success rather than embodying purpose, or where external expectations have shaped your trajectory more than your actual desires.

With Uranus moving through your fourth house and opposing this lunation, your inner world and outer world are colliding. Something in your home life, family dynamics, emotional foundation, or sense of security is shifting, and that shift is impacting your public identity. You may feel pulled away from an old career structure because it no longer supports who you are becoming at a deeper level. You may also feel a sudden urge to restructure your living situation or emotional environment in order to pursue something bigger. Uranus is reorganizing the ground beneath your feet so you can move in a direction that feels more authentic.

Mercury’s cazimi in your tenth house brings a breakthrough in understanding your purpose or your next professional step. A realization may land around your long term path, the work you want to dedicate yourself to, or the message you are meant to share publicly. You may suddenly see the storyline of your career with clarity: what needs to end, what needs to shift, and what needs to be articulated more boldly. This cazimi sharpens your career vision and helps you name the direction that has been quietly forming inside you.

Pisces Rising

→ 9th House: Higher education, travel, and philosophy

This new moon activates your ninth house, the part of your chart connected to your beliefs, your worldview, your long term vision, your spiritual path, your education, and the philosophies that shape your understanding of life. Scorpio here pulls you into deeper territory. It asks you to examine the truths you have inherited, the beliefs you absorbed without questioning, and the narratives that no longer reflect who you are. This new moon is a shift in consciousness. Something inside you is ready to outgrow an old worldview and claim a perspective that feels more aligned with your current soul path.

With Uranus traveling through your third house and opposing this new moon, your mind is undergoing a recalibration. Sudden insights, disruptions in thinking, or unexpected information may push you to see something in a completely new way. Your perception is changing quickly, and old mental frameworks may fall apart without warning. This can feel disorienting at first, but Uranus is helping you break free from beliefs that limit your potential. You are being invited to think bigger, more honestly, and more expansively than before.

Mercury’s cazimi in your ninth house brings a moment of piercing clarity. A truth lands. A direction becomes obvious. A question you have carried suddenly finds its answer. You may experience a revelation about your purpose, a spiritual download, or a deep understanding about the lesson behind a recent experience. This cazimi gives you language for something you have sensed intuitively but could not fully articulate. Your perspective becomes sharper, more grounded, and more connected to the future you want to move toward.
