Tomorrow June 25th, 2025, at 3:31 am PT, we’ll experience the New Moon in Cancer at 4°. What’s special about this new moon in particular is that it sits just a breath away from Jupiter, that was in a cazimi (conjunct the Sun) earlier today.

In astrology, cazimi is a position of great dignity, as though the planet is being temporarily purified and empowered by the solar force. Jupiter, exalted in Cancer, is already a benefic with a nurturing agenda. When it conjuncts the Sun, it becomes magnanimous. Bold in vision. Spiritually and emotionally resourced.

But here’s the caveat (there always is lol). This Jupiter-Sun-Moon conjunction is squaring both Saturn and Neptune in Aries. Jupiter in Cancer wants to believe, to nourish, to pour its magic into new beginnings, but Saturn and Neptune in Aries are squinting from across the table asking, “Do you really know what you’re getting into?”

This is why Jupiter in Cancer doesn’t feel quite like Jupiter in Cancer should. For example, this week, I’ve been using this energy to work out a checklist of paper work I need to gather for my immigration lawyer, steps I need to secure a visa in Spain even though the move isn’t till next year in April-May. I used this Cancer season energy to already secure a 3 month temporary housing in Madrid that would allow me and my husband to bring my cats. This home is super close to all major train stations so I can more transition easily and find longer term housing once **fingers crossed** the visa gets approved.

I also know that the experience/lifestyle I want to have in Spain will require me to learn the language. I’m taking classes right now so that I’m not disillusioned by language barriers when I’m there. I’m also creating a budget sheet so I can be prepared for taxes/living in Spain, so I don’t unnecessarily get double taxed, something my Cancer in the 2nd house would like to avoid. Mars in Virgo activities can look like that plain and simple.
