We chose a small omakase experience tucked into our local city, a hidden gem modeled after the quiet precision of Osaka.
One of the dishes that stood out most to me was Uni, specifically the purple variety, which is actually considered an invasive species off the northern coast of California.
What’s fascinating is that this particular pacific purple sea urchin damages kelp forests and threatens the balance of the marine ecosystem.
But when harvested and eaten, it becomes both nutrient-rich sustenance and a solution. By eating what is considered disruptive, we actually contribute to environmental repair.
That symbolism has stayed with me for years. It returns every time I engage in shadow work.
What if the parts of us that we’ve been told are too much, too ugly, too chaotic…were never the problem?
What if those exiled aspects of self are not meant to be eradicated, but metabolized into something nourishing?
Shadow work, then, isn’t just a personal healing journey. It’s an act of ecosystem repair. A restoration of psychic balance.
Because when we integrate what we once disowned, we stop leaking pain into the collective.
We become more whole, which makes us better ancestors.
Before I met my husband, I went through a 2 year period of self-imposed solitude practicing celebacy.
I had been burned so thoroughly in past relationships and friendships that I chose celibacy for two years.
Call me prudish.
But after being in 3 relationships in a row of being cheated on prior to meeting my husband, I refused to physically get intimate with anyone new because my divine feminine felt absolutely repulsed by it. My sacral felt burnt out from previous violations.
I needed space to hear myself again. To heal. I needed to figure out who I was when I wasn’t shape-shifting for other people’s comfort.
During that time, I also began working with Black Moon Lilith in my chart.
Lilith is not soft and agreeable.
Lilith is working with your inner raw.
She mirrors back to you the undercurrent of your lived experiences.
The part that bristles when we’re overlooked, that tightens when we’re misjudged, that burns when we’ve swallowed too many words to keep the peace.
She’s the creative flame that got smothered by politeness, dimming the sacral chakra. The intuitive no that got talked over. The pleasure that got buried beneath guilt.
And yet she’s also where our power begins.
Mainstream media paints Lilith as a demon.
A sinner.
Which can’t be further from the truth when you come back to your inner knowing of the divine feminine.
Lilith teaches us to trust the parts of ourselves that have been cast out by culture, family systems, or broken love. Working with Lilith gave me back a version of myself I didn’t even know I had abandoned.
Lilith was the key that broke my ancestral spell.
It was through her that I began unraveling the invisible cords tied to my father’s shadow which were stubbornly threaded with betrayal, silence, and the aching echo of my mother’s heartbreak.
His infidelity psychically imprinted onto me. One I had unknowingly carried into my own sense of worth, love, and trust.
Lilith showed me where that pattern lived in my body. Where I had internalized shame that was never mine to begin with. She was the force that demanded I sever what was inherited but not chosen.
And in doing so, she cleared the space for something entirely different.
Yesterday as I sat across the table from my husband, I thought to myself…
It’s no coincidence that the man who would become my husband has Pluto and Venus in the first house in Scorpio. This is the result of embracing my inner Lilith.
He didn’t flinch at the fire of my Lilith work. He saw it. Respected it. Met it.

This kind of connection didn’t arrive because I perfected myself. Hell, I’m far from perfect.
My aim in this lifetime isn’t to achieve perfection either.
It’s to practice and devote my self to daily self-acceptance & self-ownership.
I learned to open up my heart, let down my walls because I stopped abandoning the most instinctive parts of who I am.
And now, in Scorpio season we enter a liminal space where the dead speak in dreams, and the soul remembers what it came here to reclaim.
The seen and unseen, the sacred and profane, the conscious and unconscious all rise to the surface at once.
This is not the time to bypass our “taboo” selves. This is the time to sit with what aches. What haunts. What longs not to be corrected but witnessed.
Lilith lives there, in the quiet between worlds.
She is the breath we hold before the scream. The fire beneath the silence.
The part of us that has always known the truth but wasn’t allowed to speak it.
When we stop resisting what we buried to survive, something astonishing happens.
We begin to live. Connect. Breathe in deeply. Exhale out powerfully.
Life reorganizes around a deeper freedom. Relationships evolve. Creative purpose sharpens. Boundaries become sacred, not guarded.
And love starts to feel like recognition instead of negotiation.
This is the work of Lilith. This is the return to what was never truly lost.
Only hidden, waiting to be reclaimed.

If you’ve been desiring to connect with your own inner Lilith, there’s no better time than season of life to dive into Lilith’s raw, transformative energy in your natal chart.
This Scorpio season is all about reclaiming your voice and power, and Lilith is right there guiding us.
This is your chance to explore where Lilith shows up in your chart and how she’s been asking you to step into your unapologetic self in relationships.
Ultimately this self-paced experience with Lilith are made for those who have been told they are too loud, too sensitive, too ambitious, too wild, too much.
Lilith teaches us how to stop filtering our light to make others comfortable. She brings us back to the root of our fire so that we can walk into the world without self-betrayal.
If you’re ready to reclaim what was once hidden, I’d love to walk with you through this.
written under the Aquarius moon…
